Differential Scanning Calorimetry is a technique by which the difference in heat flow to or from a sample and to or from a reference is monitored as a function of temperature or time, while the sample is subjected to a controlled temperature program.

Thermogravimetry: This method determines the mass of a sample as a function of temperature or time. The sample is subjected to a controlled temperature program.

Dilatometry: With this method, dimensional changes of a samples as a function of temperature or time can be measured.

Dynamic Mechanical Analysis: By means of this thermoanalytical method, the mechanical behavior of a sample, depenent on a special temperature program and changing load can be characterized.
